Mississippi U.S. Mingo Bible School is a Divinity Accredited School by World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Education Institutions and approved by God according to Matthew 28:20. But the school is not approved by the government. The school teaches Bible doctrine only! The school doesn’t teach secular education: Tradition, Theology, Denomination or Philosophy. The school is committed to the great commission that was given by Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:20. “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you.”
The school strongly believes in separating Church and State. The school does not accept any student loans or grants from the government. The school is funded by Faith trusting in God and not by sight.
At Mississippi U. S. Mingo Bible School, a student can earn a Bachelor of Divinity, a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Divinity.

In honor of Dr. Ulysses Simpson Mingo

The school was originally founded in 1992 by Evangelist Charles Smith, Sr. The school was named after the late Dr. Ulysses Simpson Mingo, a native of Texas. Dr. Ulysses Simpson Mingo was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute. He lived to be 104 years old.
Evangelist Charles Smith, Sr. studied under Dr. Mingo for 9 consecutive years at his Bible Class School that was not accredited. One of Dr. Mingo’s rules was Evangelist Charles Smith, Sr. had to study in the Bible Class doctrines for 5 years before he was allowed to preach his first sermon.

Evangelist Charles Smith, Sr. is the Founder and President of Mississippi U.S. Mingo Bible School. He is Dean as well as one of the in person instructors. Evangelist Charles Smith, Sr. earned his biblical education at Ulysses Simpson Mingo Bible Class School where he studied for 9 years. Evangelist Charles Smith, Sr. is married to Kathryn Smith. He assembles and actively serves as associate minister at The Church at Green Pastures M.B in Jackson, MS, under the leadership of Pastor Karl Hunt.

Dr. Dexter Brown

Dr. Dexter Brown is married to Anika Brown. Dr. Dexter Brown received his ministerial license in June 1997 and his full ordination to Ministry under the late Bishop William H. Walker Sr. in March 2000. He was an associate minister and an assistant pastor for several years as well as the senior pastor at Shekinah Christian in New York City. He is currently Associate Pastor in Ridgeland Mississippi at Mount Charity M.B. Church under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Dr. Bennie L. Ervin. Dr. Dexter Brown has attended New York Institute of Technology, Saint Joseph’s College, Bethel Bible College, Rhema Bible Training Center, Trinity Divinity School and Mississippi U.S. Mingo Bible School. He holds an associate degree in biblical studies and bachelor and master degrees in management, theology, and ministry. Dr. Dexter Brown earned his Doctoral Degree in Divinity at Mississippi U.S. Mingo Bible School where he is currently an instructor.

Dr. Christopher Collins

Dr. Christopher Collins is married to Undra A. Collins. He is pastoring the Church at Burch Hill Baptist in Jackson, MS. He graduated from Tougaloo College, Wesley Biblical College, and Jackson State University. Dr. Christopher Collins earned his Doctoral Degree in Divinity from Mississippi U.S. Mingo Bible School. He is currently the Vice-President of Mississippi U.S. Mingo Bible School.

Dr. Christopher Jones

Dr. Christopher Jones is married to Connie Jones. He has been a licensed minister since September 1996. He was an assistant Pastor at Egypt Hill Baptist from 1999-2002. He is pastoring the Church at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist for 21 years in Oma Mississippi. Dr. Christopher Jones earned his Doctoral Degree in Divinity from Mississippi U.S. Mingo Bible School.

Dr. Jerome Williams

Dr. Jerome Williams is married to Shirley Peace Williams. He attended Hinds County public schools, Class of 1983. He received an associate degree in Automotive Parts and Sales from Hinds Community College in 1984. He was crowned a deacon at New Mount Zion Church in 1990. Dr. Jerome Williams earned his Bachelor, Master, and Doctor of Divinity Degrees from Mississippi U.S. Mingo Bible School.

Dr. Leroy Jones is married to Lana Jones. He is pastoring the church at EL Bethel Missionary Baptist in Columbus, MS. He is the Moderator of the Gethsemane Mt. Moriah District Association. Dr. Leroy Jones earned his Doctoral Degree in Divinity from Mississippi U.S. Mingo Bible School.
